Tai Chi

Our Tai Chi classes are actually more correctly referred to as Qigong (aka Chi Kung). Due to the popular use of the name Tai Chi, we often use this term. However, Tai Chi is actually a martial art with a main goal of teaching students fighting or self-defense skills. Our Qigong classes are for those that seek the health benefits of Tai Chi without the desire to improve their fighting ability.

A physical, mental and energetic exercise, our Qigong classes focus your mind, strengthen your body and revitalize your energy!

This unique moving meditation is perfect for...
  • Managing stress, relieving tension and relaxation!
  • Restoring energy, vigor and vitality!
  • Strengthening and the body (feet, ankles, calves, knees, thighs, butt, back)
  • Keeping fit, toned, strong and healthy
  • Restoring proper posture to free you from stiffness and pain
  • Human performance enhancement
  • Rehabilitation (physical, mental and chemical dependency)
  • All ages (men, women, seniors)
Our qigong classes unify the traditional internal principles of body alignment with a philosophy that embodies the inherent connection between ourselves and the environment. They encompass a vision of oneness in which each person is seen as part of a whole and directs a return to our natural and more innate sense of living.
In motion the whole body should be light and agile, with all parts of the body linked as if threaded together. - Chang San-Feng (circa 1300 AD)
